fundamentally
we find ways to adapt
loop the instrumental
lose yourself when the slap
of the snare as it cracks
in my lair when i lay down
my bad, dazed in the lab
U V rays
in the middle of day
ozone on the map
yo whats the word play?
en mi zona on the low
on the 408
its the 407
so i know you can relate
thats twenty four seven
life around my way
on the eastside of town
putting food on your plate
think bigger than the sound
so it resonates deep
within communities
and create opportunity
focus on beauty
and learn from the pain
lets work on unity
and bring about change
contribute to the movement
and eradicate hate
Through Trop, I was also introduced to up and coming producer, Alex Rosa, whom, he said, will play an integral role in the development of his sound in the months to come. Both individuals have drawn upon a wealth of influences from Old-School Hip-Hop to Puerto Rican Folk Music to Experimental Electro. ‘The Snapback’, co-written with producer and Taca founder, Abdias Ernesto Garcia, is a prime example of the cross cultural collaboration that has become a staple of the ¡Tacatantán! ethos. So what’s on the horizon for the Mighty Montune? More Music! and a continuation of the fierce DIY motto that drives the Tacatantán Family!
